Since Ben Hur is set during the reign of Tiberius (I think), the next movie would have to be

12. Caligula

I really thought resident historian Indiana Smith would be participating here.
I'll take you places the hand of man has not yet set foot...

That allows me to continue with

13. Quo Vadis (1951)

Set in the reign of Nero (until 68AD)
"Once you get past a certain threshold, everyone's problems are the same: fortifying your island and hiding the heat signature from your fusion reactor."

Wenn ist das Nunstück git und Slotermeyer? Ja! ... Beiherhund das Oder die Flipperwaldt gersput.

Yes, I was hoping to sneak in Astérix et Cléopâtre but that is BC as well.

There have been some big time jumps, but nowhere near as bad as I feared. I was afraid people wouldn't read the rules and we might be in the 20th century already!

14. The Last Days of Pompeii (1959) - set in 79 AD.

Well there aren't that many historical movies set in the ancient past (and that is counting Roland Emmerich and biblical epics as historical, which is a stretch). So big jumps in the beginning were to be expected. As ist is, we're at 15 and we're still in Roman times.

15. Gladiator (2000)

set in 180 AD
"Once you get past a certain threshold, everyone's problems are the same: fortifying your island and hiding the heat signature from your fusion reactor."
