Good idea! Not the 9 best or favorite, right - just the most influential?

That's how I interpret "films that made me." The movies I chose were all ones I saw as a teenager, early 20s for "La Dolce Vita." Looking back I should have swapped "Young Frankenstein" for "Bride of Frankenstein," but I didn't feel like redoing it.

OK

From memory, and in no particular order

Star Wars
Porco Rosso
My Little Chickadee
El Topo
Chinese Ghost Story
Ghost in the Shell
Les aventures de Rabbi Jacob
Monty Python and the Holy Grail
A Bridge Too Far

[bob]

I went with films I saw at points in my life that shaped my taste from when I was younger and now that I'm older

if I could pick Kubrick as his own poster I would've

[bob]

bad movies edition!

[Trevor]

SHANGANI PATROL
MURDER ON THE ORIENT EXPRESS
STAR WARS
THE WILD GEESE
RAIDERS OF THE LOST ARK
KILL AND KILL AGAIN
FIRST BLOOD
GORKY PARK
THE CRIMSON RIVERS

I think I could have added nine more. 😎🐢

I think we all could say STAR WARS (watched it 25 times between 1980-1983) but since everyone else has said it I skipped it.

These are all the ones that got me obsessive for months or years of my life. 4 of them are also on my all-time 10 Best list...

EDIT: It wouldn't post! Last time I tried to link an image it worked. Sigh...
