I just pre-ordered the upcoming DVD release of the uncut version of I DRINK YOUR BLOOD (1971).  This is one of the forgotten drive-in classics of the 1970s that was edited, re-edited, and released multiple times during the 70s.  I have an old, poor quality, VHS copy of this (which looks like a 4th or 5th generation dupe), but I'm not sure if it is the uncut version.  There are also copies of this available on Ebay, which I suspect are foreign imports.  Anyway, I'm pretty excited about this upcoming sleaze classic.

If you haven't seen it, it's about a bunch of hippies who eat meat pies injected with blood from a rabid dog.  They all go crazy and start slaughtering and infecting the locals.  What more do you need to know?

"Do not walk behind me, for I may not lead. Do not walk ahead of me, for I may not follow. Do not walk beside me either. Just pretty much leave me the hell alone."

Meat pies?
Those are primarily eaten in Australia and the U.K.

Was that film produced by one of those countries?
I myself have never seen it.

ASH:

Nope.  It's a good-old American sleaze classic.

I too have been waiting for this one since I read about it on imdb in regards to some other drive in classic. Sounds promising, I can't wait to see it.

Maybe they should offer it on a double bill disc with "I Eat Your Skin" since they were theater bill partners for so long.

Never seen it always wanted to out of curiosity. I've read about how the two films wound up together, and I saw IEYS way too many times when "Enigma Theater" was still on. So I've always wondered if IDYB was as gross and graphic as its reputation, nd it wol be neat to see the "other half" of the bill.

I've seen I EAT YOUR SKIN. It's like a zombie James Bond film that isn't very good, but worth taking a peek.
