So, who's doing up their front porch for the big night?

I'm planning to do something big this year. I still have bags of cobwebs, a dummy and other stuff from previous years, but I've also gone to the dollar store and picked up a whole bag of plastic skulls, and rubber bats and spiders. The supermarket had some nice (and cheap) ceramic skull candle holders, so I got a few of those too. This week, we'll probably head out to the pumpkin farm for three or four nice big ones. Just waiting for inspiration to tell me how I'm going to put it all together.

Anybody else got big plans for Halloween?

My biggest effort is the pumpkin. Starting two years ago I would spend hours crafting my perfect pumpkin. In my first year I made a replica Pinhead from Hellraiser. I used two inch long steel nails for pins. Very nice. In my other pumpkin I carved the Mystery Science Theater 3000 logo. I carved it so that "Mystery Sceince Theater 3000" could be read on the pumpkin. It was a true work of art. I snapped a few pictures of them before my smashing instincts kicked in and my work went all to hell. If I can find them, I'm like to post them.

My wife loves to decorate for Halloween. She does all kinds of things. The drawback is that when Halloween is over, if I don't take all the stuff down, it would be there until the next Halloween.

You're not the Devil...You're practice.

Someday I'll decorate by putting fake severed bloody arms and legs on the front porch and then drench the porch with blood and leave trails of blood on the drivway asthough somebody was dragging a body around, I'd also put for "blood" on the wall and leave big bloody handprints. I bet I'll be having all the candy to myself that night.

Now it's time to sing the nation anthem IN AMERICA!!!

I will have scary pumpkins, cobwebs with homemade spiders made out of pipecleaners and q-tips dyed black. I will be all dressed up as a nasty old witch giving out big ripe juicy apples..come here my pretty...hahahahahahahah.

I really don't see a drawback to having halloween decorations up year round, just look at all the lazy people that leave christmas stuff up all the time
