Just out of curiosity, I was wondering how many people here prefer "Good" B-films over bad ones. Which films take up most of your shelf space?

Fearless Freep

'Good' and 'Bad' are so subjective and I really never bother to think about it.   Sometimes I run across something I think is good, like Dark City or Imposter, bt for the most part, I just ask if I enjoyed the last two hours or not.

Last night I watched Metamorphosis: The Alien Factor.  Not really a 'good' movie by any terms, but it kept me entertained and distracted so...who cares?

When I say a Good B-Movies that usually means that I was entertained (Dead Alive, Bad Taste) and a Bad B-Movie is a movie that I didn't find entertaining, (Alien Warrior, Prototype X29A)

Now it's time to sing the nation anthem IN AMERICA!!!

I'm opposed to collecting movies willy-nilly, so I only buy ones I know will be entertaining and enjoyable on some level.  I'll probably never buy an Albert Pyun or anything like that.

Brother Ragnarok

It varies.  When I find something for $2-$3, I'll buy it no matter what unless I'm really short of cash.  I can't say no to a b-movie that cheap no matter how bad it is.  Which explains how I ended up with so many Godfrey Ho movies...
But if I'm out spending actual money, I only buy stuff I like, or maybe something that's kind of a collector's item.

If a film is just so jaw-droppingly, "I can't believe they released this!!", bad, then it has an entertainment factor built in -- I do think that this is why most of us -- me, anyway, -- peruse this website:  So that we can get an education as to the grand variety of stench available out there & make sure we haven't missed anything that could keep us laughing for years to come -- Like friendly, wagging dogs as "Killer Shrews"!!!

PS:  I really do, also, appreciate the conversations herein on good films as well, as well as music & social issues.  But if it weren't for the Cinema du Kaka, I doubt I'd keep returning . . .

Bad movies are better than good movies! (Hmpf?!)

Why only bad&ugly B-Movies, what about bad&ugly BigBudget. Is there a difference between the fun one has when looking Starcrash, Porno Holocaust Gigli, Half Baked or Soul Plane? It´s all the same funny crap, isn´t it?

I appreciate everyone's input and I'm glad I'm not alone in my fondness for these horrendous films.

My library consists of films from every genre and budget. I really don't discriminate as long as it has a good or decent story and compitent production value. I find it very difficult to blow money on crap.
