While on a journey, Chuang Tzu found an old skull, dry and parched.
With sorrow, he questioned and lamented the end of all things.
When he finished speaking, he dragged the skull over and, using it for a pillow, lay down to sleep.
In the night, the skull came to his dreams and said, 'You are a fool to rejoice in the entanglements of life.'
Chuang Tzu couldn`t believe this and asked, 'If I could return you to your life, you would want that, wouldn`t you?'
Stunned by Chuang Tzu`s foolishness, the skull replied, 'How do you know that it is bad to be dead?'

Just out of curiosity Mr. Noodle... are you a teen or an adult? The reason as to why I'm asking is because I have noticed that "Saw" always seems to get rave reviews from teenagers.

Master Blaster

Just to chime in, I'm 26 and I liked it. I agree it had some plot holes and bad acting here and there but overall I think they managed to build tension effectively and the visual aspect of the film was interesting. I also liked that rather than just presenting a horror film there was a moral behind the story.

Master Blaster:

Ha ha! Now if I see it and say I hated it (i'm seventeen) then that makes Sugar_Nads argument only somewhat accurate. One of my friends said he liked the new Dawn of the Dead alot (okay no problem in that) but then he said he thought the original was boring (Oh! That's it you're in trouble now!) and I'm sure there are adults out there who dislike the old Dawn of the Dead as well, not just teenagers.

Now it's time to sing the nation anthem IN AMERICA!!!

Not that it matters, but I'm 33 and I enjoy independent horror films very much. It was refreshing to see a low-budget film that had me smiling long after I left the theater. 'Twas a nice birthday present. Can't wait for the uncut (no pun intended) version to come out on DVD.

I'm 25 and I think the original "Dawn of the Dead" was a boring flick.

Brother Ragnarok

I'm  Bryan ("Hi, Bryan!"), I'm 22, and I thought Saw sucked.  Hard.  Bad acting, horrible dialogue, stupid, derivative plot.
Apparently I live in another dimension.  Honestly, every comedy I have ever seen in the theater, the audience has never laughed so hard as the audience I saw "Saw" with.  I could have sworn we were watching Monty Python.

This isn't even due for a release here for many a month, so the rest of you can all go BURN IN HELL as far as i'm concerned!!!!

Any delay in good or crappy horror films being released is a delay I am just annoyed greatly about.

[Anger fading....]

That being said, I do know people who have seen the trailer [even that isn't really shown much!] who said it looked interesting, and I tend to trust their judgement.  So it mustn't be too bad!

[oh, we are the late teen, early 20's bracket]

Saw was HORRIBLE.  My problem might be that I went in with too many expectations that didn't get met.  The acting was terrible.  It was slow.  It was contrived.  It didn't follow through with possible good gory moments (i.e. ankle).  Did I mention the acting was terrible?  Anyways, it had the potential to be really good, but it completely failed.   IMHO.

Mr_Vindictive

My wife and I finally got around to going to see this at the theater last night.  We drove two hours, showed up two hours early to buy tickets and it was already sold out.

As was Seed Of Chucky

As was Ray

We settled with Team America, which was a blast in itself.  Much funnier than expected.

Still would have liked to have seen Saw though.....

A bald man named Savalas visited me last night in a dream.  I think it was a Telly vision.
