I hadn't realized the true horror of Evil Dead until I read that. Damn it, some things are sacred, and Bruce Campbell as Ash is right up there at the top of the list.

Sean William Scott as Ash!?  Hopefully this is just another rumor that'll fall through.

As for Julian McMahon as Dr. Doom, I think that they made a wise choice.  McMahon has been doing great on the last two seasons of Nip/Tuck and seems to be a great actor.  Some early footage that I've seen of the flick though does show that he seems to be using a strange accent.  Oh well.

Sorry folks i have to defend S W Scott. He has been in some in sum bad/good movies, Bullet proof monk and Welcome to the jungle. i am not going to watch dude where's my car, there's bad and then there's BAAAAAAD.  But come on Bruce HAS to be in the re-make, he's a legend.

He has a cameo at the birthday party. It's the scene where Will Farrell gets a dart in is neck. He's the one whos all "you got a f---in dart in your neck. that s---t is not cool. " or something like that.
