Prime Evil & Lurkers

Both of these films are directed by Roberta Findlay and star Christine Moore in 1988.

PRIME EVIL - Mediocre film about Satanist within the Catholic Church. A group of monks from the 1300's still living by way of human sacrifice. Decent effort possible a hair better than THE DEVIL RIDES OUT.

LURKERS Weird idea, but poor execution for a film about the damned that live in buildings and do the work of their master in Hell. Not very interesting. Just 80's period scenes.

These films must of been filmed back to back as they have the same director and actress working for Crown International Pictures.

Yeah, these were part of those Horrible Horrors Collection as well. i hated both of these films, they dragged ON AND ON without any remorse. Not even bad enough to be funny, just terribly dull and pointless.

I don't know if anyone else would agree with me, but when a movie's synopsis is:

"Satanic Monks sacrifice people."

I demand their be soem exploitive trash!

They did seem to cut some scenes short from PRIME EVIL which actually took away from this film, but oddly they left those scenes in the lesser LURKERS.

I don't really want to be fair to LURKERS, but the crazy mother was wacky and the spirits coming out of the walls could have been good, but it wasn't. LURKERS is a poor film that nobody should waste their time with.

PRIME EVIL has that demon at the beginning and end. The leader of the Satanist helped save this film from being a complete waste of time.

The lead actress for both films was a bore.
