one of my college buddies went to india and acted in this flick about 3-4 yrs ago...guess the thing sat on a shelf...i have yet to see it.

so another buddy called me a few days ago, not knowing about our mutual buddy in the film and he says "i'm watching this cheesy flick on scifi and fifteen minutes into it there's steve herd!!!!!"  check him out on imdb...yeah, he looks like river phoenix...ooohhhhh.

it is going to be on again in january...so we're gonna burn it. everything i've heard is that it's typical scifi fare...however....the last i heard, there WAS NO CGI faking...

NO CGI !!!!! PUPPETS!!!!!!!!!  peter jackson would do well to take note...i miss jim henson on crack.

would love to hear what people thought about CENTIPEDE...

Hey, I think that's really cool. C heesy Sci-Fi or not, at least he got a chance to come out in a film. Which of course, is more than I've ever done.

trekgeezer

I think it's  actually cool that your friend was in it.  It was pretty run of the mill , but it  must have been a blast making it.

And you thought Trek isn't cool.

Ah, me . . .
I shot one thing in India for Yugoslavian TV -- don't ask -- while I was over there.  I love India & love being in films -- not enough travel OR film in my life these days -- and so I envy envy envy your friend a LOT!!  Good for him --
I will make a real effort to see "Centipede" in all it's visible-string(Oh, please!  I hope!) puppet-glory --

Intersesting ,Peter... I had no idea that American actors were even starring in films in places like India.

Hell, we'll go anywhere & do anything for the promise of a paycheck & work.
I think this is partially what Hitchcock meant when he said "Actors should be treated like cattle" -- there's really no reason not to.  Just like those "fake-movie" reality shows show.

I think I heard someplace that caucasoid types are quite sought after in Bollywood, like to play Vikings or something. Or maybe I just dreamt that.

Saw part of "Centipede", dissapointed it wasn't based on the arcade game, taking place in some world of mushrooms or whatever. I used to be so good at that that when I played it, kids would gather around to watch like, "whoa, he's a centipede wizard". I think this was one of the first ones you could put your initials on.
