Just viewed my very own copy of FIRST SPACESHIP ON VENUS last night. Well it wasn't bad. Some neat little Sci-Fi stuff. Its made in Color in 1960. They go to Venus and find the remains of old ruins of alien life on Venus. *** out of *****

He He He....Tom Servo: How much does a Herringway? Joel: Oh, bout 2.95 a pound.

I really like this movie too.  It is one of the better sci-fi movies of the late 50s.  One of the most significant things about it is the multicultural cast, but the science in the movie is treated very respectfully as well.  I reviewed this one for my site as well not long ago:

Yes, I did notice the multicultural aspect. Was this filmed in Russia or somewhere in Europe.

Believe me now when I tell you: this movie was AWESOME in a movie theatre, on the big screen in blazing color, which is where I saw it first around 1962.

I gotta admit, impressive set design, and the ship it's self is cool!
