I just saw this movie and liked it. The actor Jaye Davidson who played Dil is very striking as a woman. Isnt that the actor who played Ra in the movie Stargate?

Yes, that's him.  He's a good creepy weirdo - though there was a lot more to his Crying Game role.

And although the movie is quite old, you may have wanted to put a spoiler warning on your message.  After all, you just saw it for the first time.

Not to give away the ending, or maybe now that the ending has been given away, I don't see what the fuss is about. Both "Sleepaway Camp" (1983) and "Salome's Last Dance (1988), if they didn't do it better, did it before "The Crying Game" (1992.)
