Damnation Alley Spammer

There's a spammer that keeps posting poker sites to the Damnation Alley topic. He keeps getting his posts removed but is too stupid to get the hint. Is there some way he can be reported to his isp or banned? This may not be a big deal right now but I've seen other boards destroyed by spam in a short time. Someone should be able to get his full IP address and report him, correct? He just posted using -.al.umces.edu which I believe is University of Maryland Center for Environmental Services...but how would you report himwith only part of the IP. I doubt the university would be very happy to find out someone's posting their online poker sites from there. I don't know, maybe I'm making too big a deal about this but I don't want to see spam take over this board.

The same spammer, at least it is poker site spams, also posted in my review for FANTOM KILER. Of course, I figure it is safe if they post in my reviews,as they rarely get read anyway. (:

I hid the poker post. Andrew usually looks at these and I think he can ban them if necessary. Of course, I don't know when he'll have time to look at it.

Andrew is the only one that can see the full IP and do a banning? Ok then, it's not important enough to bother him with. He can take care of it when he gets time. I'm sorry, I had thought it was possible for some of you to do that, my mistake. Carry on...

I picked off two or three of those too. Weird that somebody would just do a few of them, in threads that aren't getting much action. Possibly trying to avoid being noticed by mods, I suppose. Didn't work.

And with what AndyC said above, I realize that I should mention that all of you do a great job...now, get in there and clean up the loser who posts under different names in the Scariest Things topic.

Seriously, this board is handled real well. Andrew picked a good bunch to be mods.

Hey Andy

I have been modding on another board, photography forum, but we don't get near the traffic that this board gets. You all have been doing a great job with all the posts with which you have to deal.
