I just read this asinine comment on Scifi Wire. Be sure and read the last few sentences if nothing else:

Melissa George, who stars as Kathy Lutz in the upcoming remake of The Amityville Horror, told SCI FI Wire that she's swearing off horror films after making a movie that was, at times, a horror to shoot. "I was in the rain for three weeks straight, with rain machines," George (Alias) said in an interview. "I was like, 'Can you heat the water?' They said, 'Well, if you heat it you'll be showing steam on film. ...' I said, 'Where are you getting the water from?' And they said they were getting it from a Wisconsin lake."

George added: "It was so frozen. I've got no real clothing. I'm just running around in the rain and thinking, 'This is the last horror film I will ever do.' The conditions were inhumane, I swear to you. I don't think a regular person would have survived."

"I don't think a regular person would have survived."
Translation:
"Look at me, I'm superhuman since I'm a star...I'm better than the commoners."

What a sissy.

The best retort to her would be: "Kathy Who?"  It was my first reaction.

The water! Don't touch it! It's Eeee-vil!

h.p. love

OMG! water???
a wisconsin lake???
...the HORROR!

She says it will be her last horror movie. Based on the interview, I'm sure we'll see her soon in some serious dramatic roles. Like Scooby Doo maybe.

Because you only have to do unpleasant things in horror movies, not in any other type of film.

Think she'll rule out those "Woman in Peril" TV movies that air on Lifetime next? Or gross out comedies? Or any film where she has to stand down wind from Mickey Rourke?

daveblackeye15

Wuss! At least she won't be retiring to Oregon.

Fall/Winter Season=Lot's of rain.

I guess that makes me a super person like her...

Now it's time to sing the nation anthem IN AMERICA!!!

Well Dave, I've got bad news for you. Sure, you can withstand the rain but you'll never be superhuman like her unless you become an actor, at which point you'll be able to rise above the lowly commoners like myself. Only then will you be able to become superhuman as you know, people like her are better than us regular people. Sorry I had to be the one to break the news to you Dave but I didn't want you to go and misunderstand your position in life as a regular person.

The old movie stars were pros...PROS! They got slimed, dunked, toasted and what all, and liked it!
Well, at least they accepted the misery that comes with the job.
