I hope I have the right board. Someone--hopefully here--was inquiring about a Cartoon Network bit starring Hawkman-wannabe Birdman as a lawyer; Adult Swim's home page has details and clips of this, The Brak Show Starring Brak, and other goodies.

Dude, great link. Lots to look forward to. "Cowboy Bebop" is one wild ride. Glad i caught it! Cartoon Network is doing great stuff with original programing, and i want to see more. Love the promos! ZORAK RULES!

This reminds me of my desire to watch an old "Space Ghost CtC" tape again.  You see, the show often has some b-movie elements.

Case in point:  Space Ghost appears with a head full of shampoo.  Except, this is no normal hair cleaning agent, it is "Shambrain."  Invented by an animated version of Gor from The Brain from Planet Arous no less!

One of my favorite shows had both pods (ala "Invasion of the Body Snatchers") and the Blob.  Oh no!  replicating pods!  The kind that keep you up with their coughing!  Hehehe!  Space Ghost also screams like a girl at one point.  I've never quite understood what he says, but darn if it didn't make me laugh.

Lastly, you have to like a show where the main character looks at the tooth fairy (who is dead and on fire) and says, "Well, that's disturbing."

"Uh, no, the kind that wait till you're asleep, kill you, and replace you with an exact replica."
"...With their coughing."
"Did you even hear what I just said?"
"NOBODY SLEEPS WITH MY GRANDMA!!"

Great stuff. I almost feel bad for the little kids who tuned in before it was designated "Adult Swim," only to see the tooth fairy on fire, Hanson shot into deep space, Santa Claus turning into a hideous monster, and a superhero proclaiming that "seatbelts are for nerds"-- In one episode!

The rest of the lineup is great, too, especially Sealab 2021. Imagine if Seaquest DSV was funded by whoever funded the boys from Bad Taste...

Have you guys ever wondered how many guests "Get" the show? Jon Stewart and Robin Leach got it, and they played along great. LMAOff!. Sometimes it does what Firesign Theater(Please, make them guests!), Ken Nordine and others do. "Audio Rorchak test" i call it.....sorry bout' the spelling....and you can never quite predict where the thing is going to end up. Gotta love it!

Ever see the one with Conan O'Brien? The first time they aired it, it was a half-hour show (as opposed to the usual 15 minutes), and about twenty minutes of that was Space Ghost following an ant. That's it. Just Space Ghost leaving the interview room, and crawling across various terrains, occasionally muttering something to himself. That was the first episode my dad saw, and he still thinks I'm nuts for watching the show because of it.

Bringing the topic back to b-movies, they've done a couple of MST3K homages: One episode started off with Space Ghost, Zorak, and Moltar's sillhouettes watching a cheesy movie (I think it was either From Hell It Came or Attack of the the Eye Creatures). And, of course, there was the one where Joel Hodgson was the guest, and SG tried unsuccessfully to riff on Infra Man with him.

Andrew

That "following the ant" episode is almost legendary around here.  One of the things about "Space Ghost CtC" was that they had no hangups at all about doing an entire episode which was only intended to annoy the viewer.  Remember the two or three with the really annoying sound in the background?
