Caption Contest

I remember when joe bob briggs was on the drive-in show i would visit the website and participate in the Caption contest. It was so much fun because you got to read all of the submissions people wrote for the caption, it was hillarious even though i never won. I always loved captioning, when we were younger me and my cousins vandalized an old world almanac that was loaded with pictures of african tribes and wwII pictures by making funny captions. My grandma has that book and it has since become the "family" book in which we write our own captions of what's going on, the date, sort of like a big fat family diary.

I wish we could run a caption contest here, even if no prizes were given it would be fun to read what everyone comes up with for b-movie pics

I know I've said it before on this- and many other- messageboards, but I miss Joe Bob Briggs and the bad movies he hosted on USA.

William Shatner, Gilbert Godfriend, Howard Stern's no talent girlfriend Beth O... there are a billion different shows where various people host bad movies, but I've only ever enjoyed watching Joe Bob do it.

We should use the pictures on this site, there's lots of good ones. I even used some on this other blog I was guestblogging on for a caption contest, I *think* I remember getting permission, or maybe that was back when I was acting under the theory that throwing in a link was the same as having permission. Maybe we could even put the pictures up on the MB in that way that's usually bandwidth theft, since it's part of the same site, but I'm not sure about that, we should check before letting anything like that go on. Anyway, I've got a couple (I'll just put the urls for the pictures for now):

Yeah i really don't know the best way to go about it - even if it's just something we can do for a few laughs and fun. i don't want to get in trouble with someones bandwidth. Plus ideally i think it would be good to have the captions on the same page with the pic so you can get the full effect.
