Ash

I was curious to know if any of you have a current subscription to any magazines.

I've never subscribed to any until recently.
Man, what a treat it is to go to the mailbox and see a brand new one waiting for me to read!

I receive Maxim (a must for any guy)

Premier (the movie magazine)

and TV Guide.

I'll probably add Entertainment Weekly soon.

The only drawback is that they pile up quite quickly.
I'll won't even have one finished and a new one arrives.

Which are your favorites and which are not?
(it's ok to admit it if you subscribe to porn)

The magazines I suscribe to are:

PSM
EGM
Game Informer
(all three are video game mags)
Anime Insider
WWII magazine
Military Hertiage

I used to get Newtype a anime magazine but for some reason I was getting them every other month and it was a monthly magazine. I am trying to find a good rock and roll and b-movie mag. The ones I read like Fangoria and Rolling Stone are to much of a "tool" magazines and their review recommend everything (like the anime magazine I mentioned Newtype).

I like WWII Magazine but it has WAY too many ads and not enough stories.

As for rock mags I read Metal Edge but I don't have a subscription to it....maybe I'll have to hook that up for myself.

Hey Rich, I have every single issue of PSM dating back to when they debuted with the Final Fantasy VII cover. I only recently stopped my subscription when after 4 or so years, I realized the magazine wasn't making any waves so to speak. If you need any back issues, I'm willing to sell some (as much as it breaks the heart of the collector inside me).

I subscribe to nothing, though American Cinematographer is looking pretty tasty.

___
Spongebob: What could be better than serving up smiles?
Squidward: Being Dead.

Ash

I used to buy American Cinematographer from the stand at Barnes & Noble.

Now that is a great mag!
Thanks for reminding me about that one.
I'm definitely gonna get that.

No thanks Scottie I have been sucribeing to it quite awhile too but I throw my mags. aways (expect my miltary mags) once their about 2 years old because I don't have enough room.

Vermin Boy

I don't subscribe to any, but working at the music department of Barnes & Noble gets me first dibs on stripped copies of Mojo, which is great for a rock-geek like myself, especially given the killer sampler CDs that come with every issue. I also take home other music magazines from work, but Mojo's the only one I regularly read.

My band: The Demons of Stupidity

Cycle World
ESPN

But...when these subscriptions run out, I'm done. If I want a magazine, I'll get it from the store. I can do most of my reading on the internet these days.

My wife and I get:
Entertainment Weekly
Maxim
Playboy
Simple Living

Yes...my wife and I is correct.

Master Blaster

None for me these days, but I miss Omni. That used to be essential nerd reading.

Neville

I buy "Dirigido...", which is one of the most pedantic movie magazines in my country. I usually buy some more frivolous movie stuff as well, to get a broader picture. I also am a "Hellblazer" regular.

And that's about it. I would buy Maxim or GQ, but I don't have much space around (my movie magazines form a 50 cm pile beside my bed, and there are also piles of books on almost every room), and anyway the juiciest part of them can always be found later through Internet.

I've never subscribed to any of these stuff, but I've felt like several times. I don't live in a big city, and sometimes the new issues take a week or so to reach here.

Due to the horrifying nature of this film, no one will be admitted to the theatre.

Susan

can't afford to blow money on magazines, tho i get some entertainment weekly or some such thing from the library for roughly a dime. i used to go to barnes and nobles and just sit down and read the ones i wanted to look at, from front to back.

LH-C

I'm a magazine subcription junkie right now. I have subscriptions to Harper's Bazaar, Lucky, W, Allure, Domino, Cargo (surprisingly I find a lot of cool tips), and Makeup Artists' Magazine. If I had the money I would also subscribe to Wallpaper, as well as both French and British Vogue. 10 years ago or so I was reading Film Comment a lot at the library, but haven't come across it since or know if it's still any good.

Wence

I get a 14-days-TV-magazine ("TV Spielfilm").

The reason why I buy it is that it informs you about bad movies.

It´s not like many TVmags that give a crap movie two of five "stars" or so.
When a movie is bad this magazine says: crap!
So I always know when there´s a bad movie milestone coming on TV.

"Scontri stellari oltre la terza dimensione"

I used to get "Bass Player" but that was it...
