Sad story. But i still never get why actors get caught up in this extreme lifestyle. They have more going for them in that they make plenty of money, see the world, have the opportunity to meet and work with so many different people.

Long hours when they do work. No guarantee when they will work again. And have you seen her father?

Susan

They get paid enough to tide them over, once an actor gets their face out there and is known in some big films, it's not that hard for them to get work again. I am overworked and underpaid, i don't even HAVE enough money to start a heroin problem so they can cry me a river

they need to grow up and quit partying. just get drunk like the rest of blue collar america

All these young junky actresses should be banished to my dungeon.

I think that you get all the normal lack of responsibility you see with people, but given the atmosphere and money - it creates a bad combination.  Sort of like having someone on fire and handing them a cup full of gasoline.

Wow!
I had no idea she had run herself into the ground like that.
She's actually a pretty good actress.
I've liked her in most of the films I've seen her in...especially Detroit Rock City.

They also mentioned The Grey Zone which is a fantastic movie and which she was also excellent in.

How sad.....hopefully she gets her s**t straightened out and turns her life around.

Plus they can afford to not be around people who tell them "no."

I wonder how many third world nations and homeless shelters deal with 'diseases' like bulemia?  Seems to me something only the rich and vain can afford to come down with.

Ed, Ego and Superego

You know, I think it always happens when you get young folks who have money and no guidance, and some education (sometimes).
When I worked on the Air Force base, and  in college/grad school,  I always saw guys, and girls, away from home for the first time with money, and no non-work responsibility.  They would often go crazy buying stuff they couldn't afford, living the high life regardless of the cost, having self-destructive fun, etc.

Now take that same scenario with a bunch of hangers on and lifestyle parasites feeding that urge and ego.  It is bound to go crazy and get out of control.
