Hey Hey everyone!

Most of you know me here....some do not.
Extra credit points go to those who check out my Reader Review of the Ice Pirates here on this site. (thanks again Andrew for posting it)

After nearly a year long partial hiatus that began in Nov. 2004, I've returned with a vengeance!
(hibernation's a b***h)

For a long time I posted only on the weekends because I did not have Internet access here in my apartment.  
I was reduced to posting on this board from my friends' computers.

Not so anymore!

Many of you may remember me mentioning in a past thread that I had won that $25,000 Dr. Pepper prize.
I've bought some awesome items with it (which I will show pics of in later threads to come) but one of the few things I couldn't buy was Internet access of any kind.  
I explored every possible way to get Internet hooked up here using my prize winnings but I was blocked at every turn.

It simply wasn't offered as part of the prize deal.

Serious withdrawal set in, which many of you have felt from too much time away from this board (I got the shakes) and decided that drastic measures were required so I convinced my mother to hook me up with one year of Mediacom cable Internet access in exchange for buying her a $700 Sony home theater system with my prize winnings.

She gladly obliged. (yeah, she got a helluva deal but I've still got $5,000 to spend at Sony...Hehe!)
It cost her about $500 while I paid $200 more than that to fufill my end of the bargain.

You're probably thinking, "Why couldn't he afford it all this time?"  "Internet isn't that  expensive."
Well that's because I'm back in college finishing up my business degree and I'm working part-time and money's tight.
Basically, I don't make s**t at my job. (it isn't a career by any means...a topic I'll be writing about in the near future)
I make enough to pay my rent and to have a few extra bucks for whatever.

I'm glad to be back here with you ladies & germs full-time.
I have so much s**t (ideas for topics on & off) crammed into my head.  
s**t that I intend to write about here.

Many of you have mentioned that the board has kind of died down.....I'm back to rectify that.  (or at least try)
Some of you may be glad....others, which I will not name are shaking their heads in despair...you know who you are.....lol!!

Either way, I wanted to step up and say, I'm back!  

I love to be part of a group of intelligent people no matter their makeup.
It's so rare these days to be able to immerse myself in that intellectual hot tub of green goo.
Now I can sink deep into it here with you good folk.

First I would like to say that it hasn't really died down, it's been rather nice.
I will then follow that up with this: Don't break your arm patting yourself on the back.

Oh yes, a word of warning, watch out for that Menard guy...

Oh yeah, almost forgot...Daveblackeye now carries a sword although some think it's just a metaphor because he seems to like Menard.

And YES....the board is kind of slow compared to how it used to be.

I've been slacking off quite a bit.  My house and dog take up a lot of time and at work they atcually expect me to work.
