Do any of you regularly cook Tuna or Hamburger Helper for dinner?
I freakin' love this stuff!
Hell, I've even made it for breakfast a few times!

It's so easy to make and requires a few extra ingredients you probably already have in your fridge like butter & milk and is ready in less than 20 minutes.

I can't tell you how many times I've fired this s**t up in a skillet and had my fill.
Great stuff!

Hamburger Helper takes a bit more time to prepare as you must fry up the required one pound of meat beforehand, which can and has made many a greasy mess in my cooking area.  Even then, I have to restrain myself from eating chunks of cooked hamburger right out of the skillet with my fingers before it's ready to go into the rest of the mix. (admit it, you've done that before too, haven't you?)

I prefer the "Beef Stroganoff" or the "Cheeseburger Macaroni" when it comes to Hamburger Helper.

As for Tuna Helper, which is much easier to make and which I prefer overall, I'd have to say that it's a toss-up between "Tetrazzini" & "Cheesy Pasta."
Tasty!

Tetrazzini is my all time fav Tuna Helper mix but it has red peppers in it, which I think are revolting.  As it cooks and I stir, I pick them out with a fork and throw 'em in the trash or wash them down the sink..

Do you make Tuna or Hamburger Helper for you or your family?
Which do you prefer and why?

LOL This MUST be the weirdest thing you've posted so far, Ash.

And no, we don't have this stuff in my country, we use different brands here. I'm on a diet, so I try to avoid as much as I can this pre-cooked stuff, as you can't control what's on it.

I use to cook frozen rice dishes, though, they are very helpful when I'm on a rush or I'm tired of the salad + grilled meat combo.

Due to the horrifying nature of this film, no one will be admitted to the theatre.

You know, as I was writing it, I thought the exact same thing!

I like weird.

I hate the stuff, myself. Really. I didn't mind it too much when I was a kid but as I got older, forget it.
As far as the weirdest post...I dunno about that. The weirdest for me is a tie between the Gristle, the Crushing Glass, and now, the Cologne. I'm sure there's quite a bit more weirdness in that head waiting to come out, however.

I like weird too, but unfortunatley like Neville, I have not got Tuna or Hamburger Helper in this country [as far as I know] so that's a no go, but I do enjoy something quick, easy and absolutley terrible for you to eat either for dinner or a late night snack.  Especially two minute noodles you get from asian stores which are loaded with lots more oils and flavours than the usual powder you get in the more mainstream ones [well the ones here at least]

Man, we're getting desparate looking to the kitchen pantry for subjects to post.

I would have to say whoever came up with the idea of Tuna helper has got to be sick. Hot Tuna with some sort of weird sauce is just repellant. Chili Mac hamburger helper would have to be my favorite.

I wish you all to please consider your favorite flavor of another pantry item. Rice-a-Roni (the San Francisco treat!). I enjoy the Chicken flavor.

Ash, I have to say one thing, you've definitely livened the place up with your return.

And you thought Trek isn't cool.

Yes, I will agree with Rice-a-Roni and the chicken flavor. Good stuff if done correctly.

Knock it off, madman...his ego is already hard enough to contain.

I make my own tuna and hamburger helper.
for Tuna:
boil your noodles like the box says (i prefer velvetta for tuna but its up to you)
drain, then add the cheese.
Once stirred well, add a can of  tuna. Its important to make sure the cheese is well stirred before adding the can of tuna, otherwise you get chunks. and chunky tuna does not sound good.

for your own cheeseburger mac:
brown your beef.
follow the directions on the box of mac ( regular noodles beat velvetta here)
once you have the finished mac and cheese, combie mac and some of the ground beef in the bowl you are going to eat out of. Mix them together and add ketchup until it turns a nice orange color. if you have leftovers, refrigerate the mac and beef seperate incase you want some plain mac or you didn't like my concoction.

both of these taste better than the glove.

I don't know why they call this stuff hamburger helper; it does just fine by itself.

The thing is, we *are* desperate for topics... the summer movies sucked, sucked, sucked, but they weren't truly BAD.

:/

Not much for us to talk about.

Evil, I hate the stuff cause I have to stock it everynight at the store I work.

But on the bright side my former gf told me when she was really poor she'd fid her bf HH without any meat in it and tell him it did have meat.

I love Hamburger Helper, though Pork Helper rates much lower and Tuna Helper is just nasty for me.

We fix it once or twice a week around here, though my girlfriend gets tired of it quickly. I could eat it more often if left to my own.

The FDA has been looking for a generic name for Viagra. After careful consideration by a team of government experts, it recently announced that it has settled on the generic name of Mycoxafloppin. Also considered were Mycoxafailin, Mydixadrupin, Mydixarizin, Dixafix, and of course, Ibepokin.

I don't mind hamburger helper too much.  If my wife has to work nights, I'll usually cook it for my daughter and myself.

The best:

Beef Pasta
Cheddar Cheese Melt
Cheesy Enchilada
Cheeseburger Macaroni

As for Tuna Helper....not so good.  My wife likes it, I loathe it.  The chicken helper and pork helper is pretty good.  I love chicken fried rice/pork fried rice.  The chicken enchilada is pretty good too.
