Help with a movie

This was on HBO a long time ago. A boy gets abducted by these two funny looking aliens, one of which is a male and the other is a female. They are brother and sister aliens. One plays the saxophone or something like the saxophone. They go around adventuring and learning things about each other and in the end, a larger space craft comes. It's the father of the two aliens in the space craft and he's telling the aliens it's time to go home because the aliens are just kids themselves. The Earth kid get taken back home.

I remember liking this movie as a kid when it constantly came on HBO.  I always felt that the film fell apart though once the kids finally make it to space.  Pretty good flick to find on DVD, if only to feel nostalgic.
