Statcat (what does that mean?) I beleive posted about this new documentary/ film tour.  I saw it last night at Coolidge Corner here in Boston.  It was great.  The commentary was hilarious.  He would have tarantulas and snakes crawling over women.  He would get them drunk so thery wouldn't be so scared.  If they rolled over in their bed they would crush some of the spiders.  I'm seeing one of the movies tonight.  They seem really insane.  One scene takes place in a forest, but it's just about six feet of trees they cut down from a park and brought back to his house.  So they keep cutting it and changing the angles to make it look real.  If you're in the Boston area this weekend or the next two definately make the trip over to the Coolidge.  "Awakening of the Beast", his masterpiece I guess, may even be worth traveling for.  Note: the documentary's knockout punh is footage from one of his adult films from the 80's.  It was truly the most sordid, offensive thing I've ever seen and I'm  just thankfull it was heavily edited.

It's simply Lestat (the vampire) with cat mixed, named after the cat I have. Awakening of the beast isn't as much of a coffin joe film as it is a drug related movie, wouldn't really recommend it. I think fantoma could have picked a better coffin joe film to release (say maybe the strange world of coffin joe or a few others) I was kind of surprised nobody responded to the original post I did about this covention I heard about. I thought maybe someone would have been familar with his movies but they still are kind of obscure in a way. All of the good conventions never seem to happen around my area, wish I could have seen it.
