Funny list- I think it's especially funny you picked Theodoric, King of the Ostrogoths. I did a lengthy assignment on his life in one of my history classes and concluded that what makes him 'great' is that he worked to stabilize a partially nomadic and barbaric tribe and create an organized society that his people would respect. If we're going down that alley, I'd like to nominate these to the hero list:

Charlemenge
Vladimir Lenin
Winston Churchill
Moses
Ronald Reagan

___
Spongebob: What could be better than serving up smiles?
Squidward: Being Dead.

Scott

Charlemagne is a good one no doubt and of course Ronald Reagan is a modern favorite. My last name is a variation of Theodoric who is (or was) a Germanic hero as you mentioned, so I've read alot of his history about 8 years ago. It seems that people back 500 years ago liked to name themselves after heros.

Good subject and would make for a great film as Theoderic beheads Odoacer in the persuit of Germanic civilization. Ever see the tomb of Theodoric? It's a strange structure.

Theoderic the Greats Tomb

Theod

Just Plain Horse

None of the above. Heroes suck. I have more respect for villians, but they aren't that great, either. Batman is basically a rich, glorified vigilante, and they aren't heroes. Most heroes are sullenly stupid and desperatly lonely. Sorry if I smashed some perconceived notions...

As the Dark Knight of Gotham, Batman is a vigilante who deals out his own brand of justice to the criminals and corrupt of the city. He follows his own code and is often misunderstood. He has few friends or allies, but finds comfort in his cause.

I had a tie but I preferred the Hideout to the Tight Uniform.

Lara Croft 79%

Batman, the Dark Knight 79% + Tie Breaker

William Wallace 67%

The Terminator 67%

Maximus 67%

The Amazing Spider-Man 63%

Captain Jack Sparrow 63%

El Zorro 58%

James Bond, Agent 007 50%

Neo, the "One" 46%

Indiana Jones 25%

I was hoping for Wolverine.....

Why isn't Conan the Barbarian on that list?

The movie version is pretty cool but I'd prefer the grim, panther-like, bad ass Conan of the Robert E. Howard stories.

Now it's time to sing the nation anthem IN AMERICA!!!
