Well, its obvious what happened.  The T-Rex got out, killed everyone, leaving bits and pieces here and there.  Then the dismembered hand of one guy crawled over to the hold door button, and waited till the T-Rex got bored, and crawled back into the hold to sleep.  Then the amputed hand pushed the button, which was the cue for all the other body parts to crawl into their proper places.
