Hairy beast movie with stove scene

This movie has just come to me, from what I can remember the story is told in a flashback by the only survivor.
There is this big mountain beast thing, totally covered in hair and it kills a group of people, towards the end there is a scene where the beast grabs a guy's head a presses it on a hot stove (he survives somehow??). It also kills a man/woman by impaling them on a broken window pane in the same scene. This film looked very low budget, was very dark in places and looked from around mid 70s to early 80s.

I'm sure someone here has seen this film? I'd know the name straight away, just need a hint??
