I'm going to say OVA because I know some jerk will come in preaching about the hundreds of ways Naruto sucks. I would like a list of terrible anime OVAs. Preferably from the '90s.

My Vote: Mad Bull 34
Why: Farts on criminal rights, has terrible voice acting, promotes police brutality, has unwarranted sex scenes, and there is a scene where the main protagonist ties grenades to his pubes.

Either Shining Force, Tekken: The Movie, or Voltage Fighter Gowcaizer.  f**k all those movies.  I think they were all video-game adaptations directed by Masami Obari, who did a much better job with the first two Fatal Fury movies (the third one sucked).

Maybe Girls Bravo has its following but I thought it was stupid.  I only watched the first one so maybe it got better.

It's really sad when the best Tekken film is the live action one. The Tekken anime was bad, but one could argue Blood Vengeance was worse.

Mad Bull is a lot of fun...enjoyed it quite a bit. Worst OVA I have ever seen was Mars of Destruction. It's just poorly made with a lot of animations mistakes, continuity errors etc.

Three Oranges

MD Geist is commonly mentioned in this regard.

I never thought it was quite fair. Sure, it's really, really, really stupid. But amusingly so.

Loved the first MD Geist, but the second is kinda stupid...would agree on that.

What does OVA stand for, I'm not familiar with the term.

Original Video Animation.  Usually a 45-60 minute mini-movie based on a popular manga or anime TV show.  Video games get a fair share of them, as well.  Also called "OAV" by anime snobs.

Ah, I know what you mean now. I saw one of those from the Patlabor series that wrapped up the plot with some sort of Noah's Ark something-or-other project that felt forced and which I didn't really care for.

Looking beyond nostalgia and childhood, all of the Sailor Moon movies were also pretty crummy. The villains wouldn't have fit in even with some of the battiest foes they fought on that show. I also found a couple of the Dragonball Z movies to be a bit stupid in spite of all the epic combat. I can't remember any of their names to save my life but the one that stands out had something about elves with flutes and a giant demon in it.

Now that one worked for me. It had a more logical plot/plot device than a LOT on anime. And that's saying something.

I still own the Samurai Shodown (1994) VHS (and yes, I spelled the "showdown" title correctly; they spelled it wrong!) and I maybe saw it once or twice after I bought it in 1995 for $34.95 at a local comic book store. I remember not being impressed with it at all, and thought that some of the cutesy kid crap was decidedly unSamurai-like. Though my snot-nosed 12-year-old sister thought it was cute, so it might make a good kids movie. No nudity and maybe one "damn" cuss word, which might explain the PG rating that it got.  I rate it

Second rule is, 'Be nice to mommy'
Third rule is, 'Don't talk to commies'
Fourth rule is, 'Eat kosher salamis'
