Always enjoy that movie. In the extras for the Criterion thing they mention that one scene got destroyed coming back from the film place. It was the beginning of the final scene when the ghoul things go to the carnival, it showed them coming out of the water into the place.

Though I own it two or three times on DVD and videotape, I watched it again.  I particularly like the music from CARNIVAL OF SOULS.
