THE LAST OF THE MOBILE HOT SHOTS (1970)
-Based on the Tennessee Williams play THE SEVEN DESCENTS OF MYRTLE.

-One of the biggest changes from the play to the film was making the character of Jeb a straight, impotent man instead of a gay transvestite.

THE GROOVE TUBE (1974)
-This film was sort of a prototype for SATURDAY NIGHT LIVE, in which Chevy Chase-- who makes multiple appearances in this film-- would become a featured player.
-Comic actors Chase and Richard Belzer made their film debuts here.
-Director Ken Shapiro, Chase, and Belzer had previously been in an experimental theater troupe called "Channel One".  Instead of actually performing they simply showed their parodies of TV they videotaped.
-Chase and Shapiro would collaborate 7 years later on MODERN PROBLEMS (1981).
