So basically this one is going to be The Wiz (1978) but without the songs?
Is it October yet?

Why can't people just create unique entertainment instead wanting to update and reimagine classic films from the past? Next thing is they will reimagine Casablanca and Citizen Kane 😳😳
We shall meet in the place where there is no darkness.

They've already done it to Casablanca. Ever heard of a movie called Barb Wire?

Oh crap, I forgot that one 😳. Also the 1980s movie Cabo Blanco with Charles Bronson 😔

Wow. I don't think the human race has run out of original stories, but I do think studios have gotten lazy and have rarely before shown how in it for the money they are. (It is a business.) As long as people keep paying to watch remakes, filmmakers will keep going for the low-hanging fruit. The most creative minds aren't in movie-making anymore, I don't think.

I'm just waiting on someone to make a race and gender swapped remake of "Sweet Sweetback's Baadasssss Song". Oh, right. THAT would be cultural appropriation. Unlike this remake trash coming out of Hollywood now.
I feel more like I do now than I did a while ago.
