Brando and Bertolucci's behavior on the set of LAST TANGO IN PARIS, though important to acknowledge and condemn for perhaps obvious reasons, was nevertheless information that I'd prefer to have not needed to learn.

In a related sense, the more I learn about Jacopetti and Prosperi (the two literal maniacs responsible for MONDO CANE, AFRICA ADDIO, GOODBYE UNCLE TIME, and other films) the more horrified (and ghoulishly fascinated) I become....... so perhaps that isn't "TMI" so much as guilty doomscrolling. I condemn most of their behavior on their films, but... I always end up reading about/listening to more impossibly ghastly accounts whenever such accounts cross my path.......
