CAT-WOMEN OF THE MOON (1953) - Fun Sci-Fi film about an ancient race of women on the moon.  A team of astronaunts go into space to find themselves lured in be their telepathic messages. The film even has giant cave spiders, meteors, cat dance, and much more. Don't miss this one..............

Mr. Hockstatter

I've been wanting to check that out.  Sounds like it's right up there with Plan 9 From Outer Space.

Scott,

I remember: you wrote that you watch 4-5 films a day and that you pursue a study of b-movie history.
Is this a school/university-study or a private enterprise?
I wonder how you can bear so many movies - when I bought 5 films last time I needed two or three days to go through them (watching them with my friends). Although it was fun, I need a pausing from that brainwash...

not up (down) there with plan 9.  It's a cool movie though.

Also known as Rocket to the Moon after being rereleased, this movie is a riot to watch. If you want to entertain your friends who aren't real b-movie lovers, this one is great. It's the perfect blend between the pseudo-serious and the outlandish. Great fun movie.

Wence, I was viewing between 25-30 films a month the from September-January, but only saw 17 films in Febuary. Hard to find time to view them all even if I had access to all films. 90 minutes a day is hard to find.

Yes, I kinda look at my film viewing as a study of sorts, but viewing films for me is no different than pursuing any of my other interest. I pursue many things in a similiar way, so to answer your question its only my own pursuit. I remember when first doing the movie marathon thing it was hard, but after a while it's not. Only finding the time is hard. It's also very good to have other interest and maintance some level of physical fitness while movie viewing otherwise you may run into difficulties. Most of all keep your life interest broad and do other things along with your viewings. Make movie viewing only a hobby.

Believe it or not this film was made in 3-D as the DVD had the trailer as an extra.

Cat Women Of The Moon was pretty good, but I think Richard Cunha's remake Missile To The Moon was even more entertaining. Have you seen it Scott?

Scott

MISSLE TO THE MOON is great fun and yes I enjoyed it. Those rocks that come alive and look like gumby was to much. Great stuff !

CAT-WOMEN OF THE MOON and PROJECT MOONBASE used the same sets and both are worth seeking out.

The character of Animalia from The Lost Skeleton of Cadavara is 110% a Cat Woman of the Moon!!

I think I might have rented this once. Was it originally in 3-D, or am I thinking of a different movie?
