I enjoy getting anything as a present, started opening gifts from my wife Christmas morning and it seemed like I was in a time machine, got a couple packages that when unwrapped contained socks, white tee-shirts, underwear, pajamas, and a pair of running shoes. My wife was laughing through this and asked if I didn't feel like a kid again opening up all those sensible, practical gifts just like what we got as children,(usually there would be 1 fun type gift), Got to the last package and found a set of earphones for the computer, so now I no longer have to inflict "B" type movies on her, means I can watch them whenever I would like to. Also got 2 books, Mad, Bad and Dangerous, the Scientist and the Cinema, along with Sci-Fi Movies, Facts, Figures and Fun. My daughter and almost son-in-law got me 2 hard cover editions, The Works of H. G. Wells and The Works of Jules Verne, so now I have a lot of reading to do.

I'll count the stuff I bought myself and got given to me nearby christmas, since my haul this year was kind of lean in the fun department, but my stash includes:

The Zombie Survival Handbook
World War Z [the sequel to above]
.....

Is that the one by Max Brooks, Mel's son?

Yeah, Mel's son.  It's quite good too.  Definetly reccomended.
