Had to go with First Blood, but Demolition Man was a hell of a lot of fun too.  And I've always had a soft spot for Cobra.

And yes, where is Italian Stallion? :tongueout:

I guess that's what the "other" option is for.

I'm going to have to go with Judge Dredd. All of his movies are predictable you know Rocky's going to win, you know in First Blood he'll be the hero. etc. Judge Dredd was predictable too, but you got to love Rob Schneider giving Sly crap. .... "I am da law."
Never been a really big Stallone fan, one of those people I could take or leave.

Voted Copland. A very good drama i think, where he plays this pathetic character. He does this surprisingly well!

The thing which is striking about his character is how he always tries to do the right thing, no matter the cost, for basically the entire movie.  He's one of the best good guy characters I've seen in a movie, I just really like him.  It's also probably Stallone's best performance since the original Rocky.

Just an FYI...  Rocky loses.  More than once throughout the series.

Show how long it's been since I've seen a Rocky film, but doesn't he always win in the end?

I think that First Blood is his best 'serious action' movie.  His characterization of John Rambo and portrayal of the misfit war vet is excellent, and the overall movie is great.

But for sheer fun and frivolity, Demolition Man is just awesome!  I have the laserdisc (yes, laserdisc!) and the DVD, and I've watched it heaps of times.

I also really like Assassins, which is a fair move away from the typical shoot-em-down movie he made in the 80's.  The Specialist is one of my closet favourites.  It takes itself very seriously, isn't such a great movie, but it's a lot of fun.

I can't stand "Assassins", but that is mostly Antonio Banderas' fault. That's some of the worst acting I've ever seen on a Hollywood movie.
Due to the horrifying nature of this film, no one will be admitted to the theatre.

Come on... TANGO AND CASH!  A classic film if I say so myself.  What's better than the hilarious combination of Stallone and Russell?  It isn't Stallone and Banderas, or Stallone and Nielson, or even Stallone and T!

ROCKY is such an iconic character and Sylvester Stallone is so memorable as ROCKY. We could never imagine anyone else playing the part unless asked to. As much as I like the RAMBO character I think ROCKY is a much better character for the human spirit to identify with.  I voted for ROCKY I. Loved the ending of ROCKY II and the match with Thunderlips in ROCKY III.

ROCKY easily. Stallone's all-time best character no doubt. I also like DEMOLITION MAN and DEATH RACE 2000 quite a bit. Actually I have a soft spot for Stallone even in his bad movies and sometimes he'll still make me laugh. Still  STOP OR MY MOM WILL SHOOT is about as bad as it gets.
