The Burgomaster

Actually, some of the John Waters movies like MONDO TRASHO and MULTIPLE MANIACS are long overdue.  And I'd like to see CRAZY JOE (not to be confused with just plain JOE) starring Peter Boyle.

Unless it was a flick with a similar title the scan I used to photoshop the "When Women Had Tails" was a cover, I am fairly certain, for this very movie.

I do not believe it has a legitimate DVD release.  This is the film:

Nevermind.  It had "fabulous journey" (to the Center of the Earth) in the title, not "fabulous world" (of Jules Verne).  I  at myself.

This is a fantasy wish, right? OK-
THE HEAD OF JANUS (1920) with Conrad Veidt and...yes...thats right...Bela Lugosi!
LONDON AFTER MIDNIGHT-the lost Tod Browning / Chaney classic.
the WIZARD-lost silent with Gustav(SPARROWS) Von Seyfrritiz (I know I spelled that wrong...)
The MAGIGIAN-directed by Rex Ingram and starring Paul Weagner.
The GOLEM and the BALLARINA (1917) with Paul again.
LOCK UP YOUR DAUGHTERS (195?) Lost Lugosi compilation made in England....some sources ay Bela narrates onscreen...others say off screen. Nevertheless...he does call this film his 'obituary'.
Supernatural?...perhaps. Baloney?...Perhaps not!" Bela Lugosi-the BLACK CAT (1934)
Interviewer-"Does Dracula ever end for you?
Lugosi-"No. Dracula-never ends."

This is a fantasy wish,right?

In a manner of speaking, so long as it's a real movie.

ie: Yeah for THEDA BARA'S CLEOPATRA, but nay for FLESH GORDON - INVASION OF THE LEZBOTS; which exists only in my fevered imagination.

I think there are some complicated music rights (or something) holding these up, particularly with MONDO TRASHO. Or could it be the world is still not ready for Lobstora and the "Puke Eater"?
If you're an Andy Milligan fan there's no hope for you.

The Burgomaster

Raffine:  Yeah, MONDO TRASHO did have a lot of vintage 1950s music on the soundtrack.  Of course, it sounded like Waters was holding a microphone up to a hi-fi speaker and playing an old, scratched 45 . . .
"Do not walk behind me, for I may not lead. Do not walk ahead of me, for I may not follow. Do not walk beside me either. Just pretty much leave me the hell alone."

While the 50 movie packs have made a number of films accessible, if in less than steller video releases, that aren't otherwise available there's still quite a few movies that remain untouched by the PD labels.  And, like the John Waters movies, it's a mystery why they aren't on DVD.  For example my (current) ultimate 80s era sci-fi Double Feature would be this....

These movies are loooong overdue for R1 releases.

I agree, especially "Galaxy of Terror."
