Here is all the info I have (from my fiance):
1) It was in color
2) The plants were vine-like, and they may have been able to uproot themselves and walk around
3) There was a scene where a couple are trapped in a house surrounded by a fence
4) Probably from the 60's

He insists it's not "Day of the Triffids" or any episode of the 70's TV series "Dr. Who" (there was a storyline involving killer plants).  I thought it might be "Maneater of Hydra" but he doesn't think that's it either.  Any ideas?

Possibly a segment from "Dr Terror's House Of Horrors" from circa 1965.

There are few things more beautiful than a sporting montage with a soft-rock soundtrack

This looks promising!  I'll ask my fiance if this is the right one.  Thanks!

I just want to say, I agree with JJ80. The film does sound like "Dr. Terror's House of Horrors." The segment is called "Creeping Vine" w/ Bernard Lee, who for many years played M in the James Bond series of films.
