The Gate, Bad Taste, Meet the Feebles, and Cabinet of Doctor Caligari

Also check out (if you don't have them): Demonwarp, Lady Terminator, and The Company of Wolves.

Bad Taste, and calagari are great movies.

There should definitely be a thread out here on Dr. Calagari.  One of the more disturbing films I recall watching.

QuoteMrs. Van Houten has shown signs of losing touch with reality, and her husband discusses possible treatment with Dr. Caligari, who says Mrs. Van Houten has a disease of the libido. The staff want Dr. Caligari removed from their facility due to her controversial experiments with electroshock and hypothalamus injections. As Dr. Caligari continues experimenting with her patients, her daughter and son-in-law attempt to stop her.

Based on your taste I'd pick "Attack of Killer Tomatoes" and "Critter's 2." They are both good cheesy flicks. I wouldn't get "The Cabinet of Dr. Cilgari" unless you like silent films and German expressionism. "Suspira" is more of a film for real horror enthusiast. I have always wanted to see "Bad Taste" and "Razorback" if you get one of those, let me know if they're any good.

Alright, out of all these, which one should I grab first?
The Blob (1988)
The Boogens (1981)
The Pit (1981)
Spookies (1986)
Sorry, but when it comes to buying movies, I'm a careful shopper. :P

You need Monster Squad.  You need Monster Squad more than any other movie mentioned in this topic.

I have it now, silly billy. It's the best Joe Dante movie not by Joe Dante.

The House with Laughing Windows is better than Suspiria (still a good one though). Definately get The Pit as well. It has an interesting premise. I wouldn't say it's a "good" movie but I really enjoyed it.
