If I was to move to another country- I'd move to either South America (because-unlike Michigan-it's warm! 0r Japan (because folks are short like me).

Come to South Africa: folks are friendly, weather is warm (not in winter, though) and everyone's either short or tall.  :teddyr:

...but don't visit via boat, as there are over 2200 shipwrecks off the SA coast; but there's gold in them there hills..lots and lots of it!

Over the past few years I've come to love South Africa, and fall asleep many nights watching Safari Live be broadcast from Djuma, near Kruger National Park. Absolutely beautiful place, and the people seem so happy and friendly.

Even the South African accents are barely something I notice now, when they stood out so much when I first started watching. Funny how that happens.
What does not kill me makes me stranger.

I still have a bit of a SA accent, despite living in England for these past 14 years. Always nice to drip a bit of Afrikaans into a conversation, just to confuse people.

But yes, despite all the political turmoil and what not, SA really is a beautiful country

In reality- I can't go nowhere-unless they mail a SSI check to a someplace beyond the 50- I'm here.

Well  I ruled out australia as I don't want to move to a country where every form of native life was evolved to kill humans. Plus that whole royal family thing they still follow...

Germany might be OK as they understand fascism can happen and work to avoid it happening again.

Scandanivian country...Nice, kinda chilly but very chill on a lot of social matters.

France. Ok might take a while to get used to the smell,  but I respect them for taking a stand against radical islam and having "Liberty, equality, fraternity" as a national motto.

If I did move to another country it would have to be a real democracy without an anachronism like a 'electoral college" that lets people who get the least votes take office and one that limits corporate funding of campaigns.
The doctor that circumcised Trump threw away the wrong piece.

Germany! Yes, good idea. I am all in favor of you leaving the United States and becoming German. Perfect. In fact, if the Germans will take you, I'll pay your way.

Well I could chip in and say "come join us in the UK", however we're going through a major political, social and economical crisis after Brexit ,and everyone here hasn't got any idea what will happen when we leave the EU.

So yeah, Germany or Austria look like safe bets.
