It's 1995, and these titles are left on the shelves of your video rental store. Which ones do you pick?
Is it October yet?

I'd have to see the box covers to be sure, but my gut feeling is to go for "Embrace of the Vampire," "The Babysitter," "Rumpelstiltskin," and "Sorceress."
I'll take you places the hand of man has not yet set foot...

Don't get too close, it's dark inside.

I clicked on JURY DUTY as I thought that was the P. Shore movie w/ Carla Gugino, but it's not. THE MANGLER mostly sucks, however Ted Levine is great and the actor who played his sidekick was pretty good, too. I've always been mildly curious about PROJECT: METALBEAST, though not enough to actually watch it.

Full Disclosure: I rented none of these in 1995 nor thereafter. I did catch a few of them on cable, though.

I was a pickie guy.None of these, I'm sure. Back in '95 I was doing the extreme gore bit.

We actually owned "Top Dog" on video, & watched it fairly often.

From memory: A dog, which looks like a bigger version of Benji, is owned by a cop. (Maybe the played by the same guy who played the cop in Early Edition.) The dog's owner is killed, & the dog is given to another cop, played by Chuck Norris, who's a bit of a loose cannon.

The dog & Norris try to solve the other cop's death, & eventually discover a plot to blow up... the pope? A selection of ambassadors? Probably ambassadors. Either way, it ends with Norris diffusing a bomb under a limo at some sort of event, with some important people locked inside.

There was also a running gag involving jelly donuts.

Fun, for a kid who liked "Walker, Texas Ranger." Most of the negative reviews on IMDb seem to be parents who think it's too violent for a kids' movie. (Going by memory; it's been a ew years since I checked the film's review page.)

In the middle 90s I would rent any tape that had a pic of Shannon Whirry or Joan Severance on it 😍🥰
