Kid Collections

Did you ever collect certain odd things as a kid? Like bottle caps or cicada shells?
I collected feathers. Big feathers, usually- like from crows or hawks or eagles. Ones I found outside.
I collected books, magazines, and comic books too. Lots of them. Still do. Of the comic books my favorite was Sgt. Fury and his Howling Commandos. You would think the horror comics would be my favorite, but....I dunno.

Anyway! Collections you had as a kid?

My dad's job took him away a lot and he'd bring me back vials of earth from wherever he went, West Berlin, Virginia, Angola, Belgium, New York, so, yeah, I had a collection of exotic dirt. Other kids thought I was weird but clearly they were wrong, eh?

I collected weekly upcoming theatrical release flyers from our local theater. They had small movie poster art printed on the flip side, which was the main reason I collected them. It was also nice to know what movies would play the following week.

I probably collected hundreds over the years. I put them all in photo albums with the movie poster art side up.
