What has happened to Charles Band? He started off with a low budget and made some kick ass movies, and now he is out again (with a low budget) making some movies that I am wasting MY low budget on,  renting and buying!!  (Doll Graveyard and Gingerdeadman)

Charles Band used to make good movies?

Did I miss a memo?

They were fun movies, I liked the first few Puppet Master movies, along with Assault of the Killer Bimbos (which gets points on the title alone) and Crash and Burn.

The "Subspecies" series was fun....

and the one about flying shrunken heads...

He made some stuff that while not 'good' was 'fun'

I think he's doing something closer to softcore with a horror edge these days

I really liked Full Moon stuff.

He made "Dolls" too, which I really love.

While we're on Charles Band, why can't ANYONE (and I say this on this thread because the man has  TRIED) make a good adeptation of Lovecraft?

I did like a few of the earlier Puppet Masters but that's about as far as I can go. I still say: snicker.

Forgot "Trancers"  was that a Full Moon series?  Liked that one in parts

Did anyone ever catch William Shatner's Full Moon Fright Night when it was on SciFi channel? This was produced by Band and had Shatner hosting some of Full Moon's movies.

Shatner also directed and acted in Groom Lake for Full Moon. The guy apparently will do anything for a buck.

And you thought Trek isn't cool.

Groom Lake was actuall a project Shatner had been trying to find a home for for a long time, and finally managed to get it made with Tempe Entertainment (with a funding/distribution deal through Full Moon).

Tempe Entertainment?  Is that J.R. Bookwalter's company?

Most of us would.  Some people just get opportunity for that 'anything' to be rather more diverse or interesting than the rest of us
