The Burgomaster

I just added this movie to my DVD collection.  This movie is bad even by director Larry Buchanan's standards.

A geologist (played by John Agar!) is tricked by a group of crooks into taking them into the swamp to search for oil.  In the swamp, they meet a mad scientist (wearing big "Elvis Costello" glasses)  who is trying to turn people into reptile creatures in his secret lab.  Every time one of his experiments fails, he feeds his victim to the alligators.

Thick headed hero John Agar sleeps on a cot in the doctor's living room (wearing all his clothes AND his boots!) while the doc conducts his experiments in the next room.  At one point, the doctor's wife says, "My husband is insane."  Agar replies, "I find your story hard to believe."  WHAT STORY???? She didn't tell him a story.  She just said "My husband is insane."  Anyway, Agar the idiot ignores her.

Most of this movie is talk, talk, talk.  You get to see the swamp creature for about 3 minutes near the end of the movie (if you can stay awake that long).  You have been warned.
"Do not walk behind me, for I may not lead. Do not walk ahead of me, for I may not follow. Do not walk beside me either. Just pretty much leave me the hell alone."

Well, I hear you Burgomaster.......but I have to view all those Sci-Fi/Horror films from the 50's-60's. It's my mission.
