I see these videos.  Sometimes for years i'll see them and almost rent them.  I mean, part of me is curious about Carrot Top's "Chairman of the Board" and some of the really generic looking early 80's straight to video action stuff.  There's one called "flirting with magic" which is I think a guy teaching you how to, well, flirt with girls using freakin card tricks.  How about Derek Jarman's "Blue" isn't it just the color blue being projected on the screen or something?  I have a friend who bought a copy of Ishtar just to be that way.  I'm down for endurance test type cinema, but I have my limits

At the Hollywood Video I used to work at their was a tape called "Video Date".  What it was a tape of a woman talking into the camera at various locations, such as a restaraunt.  This made the viewer the woman's date.

There was just something so terribly wrong about it.  Remember, this tape was not porn, nor does the date lead to anything.  It's just a woman talking to the camera.

What in the hell?

Actually, Cairman Of The Board isn't that bad. It's like a cross between Tommy Boy, Surf Ninjas and Big, only not as funny as that may sound to you. It does feature a scene where Carrot Top tortures Courtney Thorne-Smith with fried chicken. What is it about these comedians that whenever they get a movie they give themselves a love interest who's a really likeable and attractive person who somehow falls for these wretched, horrible, juvenile characters? Are they trying to make us believe women like that would be caught dead hanging around with them if they weren't filthy rich? Just ranting....Movies that pull this trick:

Anything with David Spade, Rob Schneider, Adam Sandler, Tom Green, Carrot Top, or pretty much any comedian with none-to-marginal talent who gets a movie.

The Honn

For a brief second I read Rob Schneider as Roy Schieder.

Funk, E.

SNL has had a real trend the last few years of; a) not being funny, b) having the least sexually appealling cast (in response to most of the people listed in mofo's e-mail). Yet they continue to get film contracts... I don't get it...

I hate SNL.  Totally unwatchable
