Ah, yes, one of the all-time great "one name" celebrities, right up there with:

* Fabian
* Charro
* Cher
* Dion
* Lulu

Yeah, I remember him from a few episodes of The Incredible Hulk. Definitely gonna miss him.
____________________________________________________________
While on a journey, Chuang Tzu found an old skull, dry and parched.
With sorrow, he questioned and lamented the end of all things.
When he finished speaking, he dragged the skull over and, using it for a pillow, lay down to sleep.
In the night, the skull came to his dreams and said, 'You are a fool to rejoice in the entanglements of life.'
Chuang Tzu couldn`t believe this and asked, 'If I could return you to your life, you would want that, wouldn`t you?'
Stunned by Chuang Tzu`s foolishness, the skull replied, 'How do you know that it is bad to be dead?'

No!  I really had no idea, and nobody told me!!
Phil Proctor runs an industry e-mail called "Planet Proctor", that frequently lists the dearly departed of the industry, and if he mentioned Mako, I missed it --
Mako played the King of The Flying Monkeys on the radio version of "The Wonderful Wizard of Oz" thing I worked on for PRI back in '00 --
I remember him cracking up Michelle Trachtenberg (Dorothy) in the studio, 'cause he didn't need any electronic "effects" added to his voice to get that "monkey" quality:  He just did it, chatter and all -- Michelle was all "How are you doing that!?!?", and she'd squeal --
I have his photo in my scrapbook, but none of us together.
I did manage to make him laugh, though, when I did an imitation of him on the M.A.S.H. TV episode wherein he played a North Korean officer who'd captured Frank Burns and Hawkeye --
"What the hell is that?", when he finally finds Frank's tiny gun his wife had sent him.
Well, he had a good, long run -- wotta guy --

I have no idea what this means.

Nope, I  missed it like some of the others. What a lost, one of those distinctive character actor, who just added to whatever film or show they were in. The kind of character actor you don't see as much anymore as you should. His was one of those names that I would always perk up at least a little when I saw it in the credits. He was like Jeff Corey, John Marley, or Keye Luke a character actor who was not a big name or a "star" but you knew him when you saw him.

And Peter what a great story, That line from the M*A*S*H episode always cracks me up evertime I hear it.

Damn now I'm bummed out to know he gone and been gone for a few months.....
