Since I don't know my periodic table I was kinda hoping to find out why this is meant to be funny.

I still liked it though, since I'd say the humour is in not knowing the periodic table, but hey, I can't help feeling as if I'm missing out on some awesome part of the joke nonetheless...

I would guess that it's due to tin's abbreviation on the periodic table being "SN." Thus offering a "SNapple" would mean a tin-infused apple.

The FDA has been looking for a generic name for Viagra. After careful consideration by a team of government experts, it recently announced that it has settled on the generic name of Mycoxafloppin. Also considered were Mycoxafailin, Mydixadrupin, Mydixarizin, Dixafix, and of course, Ibepokin.
