I'm wondering about this movie I probably saw back in early 1997. It was on one of the movie channels. The part I remember is this guy with sunglasses wandering around this abandoned city at night, he goes into a bathroom and cuts his hair while looking at the mirror. I know that's not a vague description but it's all that I remember. I think the guy who played him was in lot's of movies, however I don't know his name.

Sounds kinda like a scene from TERMENATOR.

Lol, it's definitely not Terminator, I know that movie.

I think the guy might be an assasin or something. I'm not sure. I have only seen that part, but it's been in my head for almost a decade now.

I'm Chris by the way. I didn't sign in.

Anyone know what movie I'm talking about?

Andrew

I am afraid not.  The described scene seems like one that could come from a number of films, but no lights are coming on in my head.  If there is anything else you can remember - if it was a vampire film, post-apocalyptic movie, if anyone wore something or carried something - all of that could help.

The guy wore sun glasses and had a bit of a beard. I think the movie was one of those "Le Femme Nikita" type movies.

When I read this the film that popped into my mind was The Royal Tenenbaums.  There is a scene where Luke Wilson breaks out of the mental asylum he's in, at night and then goes into a bathroom where he proceeds to shave his head and then slit his wrists.

I know it came out way after 1997 but it fits.

A bald man named Savalas visited me last night in a dream.  I think it was a Telly vision.

I have a feeling that this might be "Dark City" ~ I think that Kiefer Sutherland starred and Alex Proyas directed. I am not 100% sure, but it might be.

I doubt this is it, but the only movie i remember when someone cuts their hair in a mirror  (well, he cut his hair too, but they only showed him cutting his eyebrows in front of the sink/mirror, with drops of blood dripping into the soapy watter-filled sink) is Pink Floyd The Wall. And he wears sunglasses at parts, and is in a city (making a call on a payphone) while wearing sunglasses. That is the only movie i know of that has anything to do with cutting hair and sunglasses.  Sorry, I don't know otherwise though.

"Escape from New York" comes to my mind. I can't remember if snake cuts his hair tho?

Did Roddy Piper cut his hair in "They Live" to avoid detection? Most likely it was someone trying to change their look so they couldn't be identified by someone who was pursuing them.

i know it wasn't roddy piper in 'they live'.  roddy piper cutting his hair??!!  no way.
that movie rocked.  where have all the good john carpenter movies gone?  i think once he started producing his own movies, he went off his rocker.
