Flesh Eating Horse

I'm trying to find out the title of a movie where a bunch of kids (possibly japanese) are afraid of a flesh eating horse, which turns out to be not really flesh eating.

My Dad says that Chevy Chase and Beverly D'Angelo are in the film, but I can't find anything other than the National Lampoon's Vacation films with both of them.

Can anyone help?

Perhaps this could be "Man of the House."  I do not remember that part, but I have only seen parts of it and what you describe would probably fit right in.
