The movie was about a rich old woman who hired this scientist to thanfer her brain into the body of one of three young selected girls. Toward the end, the scientist double crosses her by putting her brain into a black cat's body. It ends with the cat following one of the selected girls running from the inflamed mansion.

This is "The Atomic Brain."  Fun little B&W b-movie.

I have the Something Weird DVD and it is a pretty good print.  There are at least two other DVD releases of the movie available, but I do not know what the quality is like for those.  Maybe somebody else has the Alpha or St. Clair DVD and can comment?

Well. Thank you very much. I'm going to get it because I and my sister finds such movies amusing. There are other such movies that I would like info about.

Shadow

I have the Alpha video version and it ain't all the great - very dark.

The FDA has been looking for a generic name for Viagra. After careful consideration by a team of government experts, it recently announced that it has settled on the generic name of Mycoxafloppin. Also considered were Mycoxafailin, Mydixadrupin, Mydixarizin, Dixafix, and of course, Ibepokin.

Has Alpha ever released a decent copy of anything? I think they find the worst copy of a public domain film and make it worst than it is already. I try to avoid anything Alpha releases.

Shadow

Very true. It seems the best they can offer is "barely passable." I've got a few of their releases, but only because they're so cheap. If a better print is issued by someone else, I'll grab that one.

side note...this 80s film did a nice job of "using" that idea...
