     BEAST FROM 20,000 FATHOMS

     SEVENTH VOYAGE OF SINBAD

     JASON AND THE ARGONAUTS

This was tough! there's not one of these I don't like.
I almost got to meet him; he was lecturing at Case-Western Reserve University in Cleveland back in '93, and me and a friend went to see him.

The lecture was great-he brought models, film clips, and story after story of the making of these classics. Afterward, there was a handshaking / autograph line, but just as I was two people away, his wife politely asked our leave, as Mr. Harryhausen was tired.
If it's true what they say, that GOD created us in His image, then why should we not love creating, and why should we not continue to do so, as carefully and ethically as we can, on whatever scale we're capable of?

The choice is simple; refuse to create, and refuse to grow, or build, with care and love.

At least, that's what Gary Busey told me...

Me,too.....plus I also picked Jason and the Argonaits and Valley of Gwangi. Of course,I like most anything Harryhausen did.
Yes,I'm fine....as long as I don't look too closely.

Well I'm too late to vote... but One Million BC ... not even Ray Harryhausen can stop the motion of Raquel Welch.

For me, it's all about Beast From 20,000 Fathoms, Jason And The Argonauts and 20 Million Miles To Earth. The Ymir and the Rhedosaurus rocked!

Toho studios also allegedly admitted that the Rhedosaurus was their inspiration for a certain Asian ass-kicker named Godzilla.  That's totally cool.

MYSTERIOUS ISLAND
JASON AND THE ARGONAUTS

But I agree with everybody else; there isn't one I don't like!

Well, if you think about it, I'm sure even HE didn't want to stop Raquel's motion, hehehe    I kind of like that DD animation system myself

I remember being totally mesmerized by Jason And The Argonauts myself as a kid..I was around 5 or 6 when I first saw it,  and I was totally awed by Talos the bronze statue.  That motion, the creaking sounds he made, and everything else.

That and the the final scene where the priest raises the skeletons with the teeth of the hydra. A lot of work went into these movies and it definitely shows.
