Saw part of this probably closing on 30 years ago, never figured out the name. In it, some kid had litle toy soldiers that came to life and shot at people/things. One memorable part was a helicopter strafing a guy (maybe the kid's dad) across the face with the machine guns. Any ideas? Thanks.
Raw bacon is GREAT! It's like regular bacon, only faster, and it doesn't burn the roof of your mouth!

Sounds like it might be XTRO(1983).But 30 years would date it to be the  mid- seventies...so...mebbe not! I don't rcall a chopper, though it's been a looong time...

Description does not sound right. One thing i remember is the fact that the "Army" of toy soldiers was growing, and I remember the father asking where they all came from.

"Xtro" has a full sized soldier and a tank that kill, so I do not think that it is the movie the ghouck remembers.  I had thought that this was an episode of "Tales from the Darkside," but a short search reveals that the show I remember was probably an episode of "Darkroom" called "Siege of 31 August."

I remember that episode.  It was a cool one.  The father tried to bury or destroy the toys and they counter-attacked him.  I think that it was one of the Dark Room episodes.  Good one.

I think it might have been "Small Soldiers" A kid's (disney?) movie. The toys have a computer microchip or something put in them so they are intelligent and talk and are trying to kill the gorgonites (which are monsters, the other team are soldiers). I don't know, seems like what you are explaining. I always watched this as a younger kid, and the main solider guy had a helicopter and shot people, but it blew up later. And they shot a net at the father at the end battle. I think this one is it.

Small Soldiers is made about 20 years too late for it to be the one. This also was, IIRC, more on the line of twilight zone/horor. No fun or laughing in it. I can visialize someone, I believe the Father, getting strafed by a heli's machine guns.

Yeah, i was thinking that after posting, since small soldiers was in the 90's i believe. I wouldnt think someone would be looking for a childrens "family" movie either, haha. But i guess that movie just sucked the idea off of the one you are trying to find, arg i hate when movies do that.

Would it be Babes in Toyland?  I don't remember the helicopter though.

Wasn't that on CREEPSHOW or one of those back in the early 80's?  Or maybe in one of the adaptations of a Stephen King short story, like Cat's Eye?  I remember a King story with that exact plotline .  . . . .
