This movie is included in the NIGHTMARE WORLDS 50 MOVIE PACK.

You see, in the 1800s in a British colony in Africa, this wealthy family tries to figure out why one of the sons spends most of his time in the attic working on soul transfer experiments.  There's this voodoo-type woman, and a black horse, and the matriarch of the family, and the "good" brother and his wife.  Lot's of close-ups of beakers and test tubes with colored liquids in them.  Nothing in the vicinity that would qualify as "the living dead," and zzzzzzzzzzzzzzzzzzzzzzzzzzzzzzzz . . .

Never heard of it...and looking it up on IMDB,I can see why. I checked out all the filmographies for the lead players...cripes...what dull, monotonous ,boring junk...
Supernatural?...perhaps. Baloney?...Perhaps not!" Bela Lugosi-the BLACK CAT (1934)

  Hi Burgomaster.

I'm glad to hear that this film which was made in South Africa is finally available ~ the National Film Archive where I work has been looking for a copy for years now. The idea behind the jars and beakers is that they contain the spirits / souls of African animals and I believe that they eventually escape and kill the mad doctor.

I will keep an eye out for it, thanks.  :teddyr:
