this isn't a bad movie, but a spoof of bad movies/80's horror shows. hilarious stuff, you should really check this out.  there was 6 episodes, if you have 20mins to spare you should check this one out on youtube...

Better than Monty Python IMO! In a different way.

In that vein I hope the DVD sales will spawn a 2nd season.

ah right, you've seen this? yeah I hope there's a 2nd series...there was a spin-off called "Man To Man With Dean Learner" that went out a few months ago which done in a chatshow format but it was nowhere near as good, really.

Doc Daneeka

Yeah, but I haven't seen the talkshow. Darkplace was brought to American SciFi for a short time.

This was showing sometime last year on TV, and was very fun.  Loved it.  Especially the over-use of Shotguns and stupid effects.

^true. Ive got to say for me its the way the voices are overdubbed for certain  characters and not for others ( or it seems like they are), really has me rolling...

I'd really love to see a second series of Darkplace, Garth Marenghi is such a classic character. I loved the bits where he read from his books, that was really funny.
"I cannot - yet I must. How do you calculate that? At what point on the graph do "must" and "cannot" meet? Yet I must - but I cannot!"
-existential angst from Ro-Man in Robot Monster (1953)
